Clearly in the era of COVID-19, the way we practice eye care has been impacted in ways we never saw coming just a few months ago. “Social distancing” is now a phrase we see applied to all aspects of how we interact with others outside of our home setting.

When we decided to look at how we could maintain our distance form our patients, yet still provide state of the art patient care, an automated refractor immediately came to mind. The TRS provided the solution we were looking for. It allows me to maintain a distance of over 6 feet, and if the user really wanted to, they could even refract from another room altogether. It also integrated with my autorefractor as well as my EMR, so the data transfer is seamless.

So in our quest for maintaining a safer environment for our patients as well as our staff, Marco’s TRS was just what we needed.
