ARK-1s Autorefractor & Keratometer
The Marco ARK-1s Autorefractor & Keratometer is a multimodality device that includes autorefraction and keratometry plus glare testing. This automated instrument measures with objective accuracy and features accommodation testing and retro illumination. Super Luminescent Diode (SLD) technology makes it possible to accurately measure patients with cataracts, corneal opacities, IOLs, and post LASIK procedures. The ARK-1s also utilizes a multiple pupil zone imaging method combined with rotary prism technology and an auto alignment Eye Tracking System to ensure consistent, accurate, reliable and repeatable data.

The Marco ARK-1s is a user-friendly, multi-functional device with advanced features that provides accurate and reliable measurements.
Super Luminescent Diode (SLD)
Super Luminescent Diode is an edge-emitting semiconductor light source based on super luminescence. It uses the high power and brightness of laser diodes providing a sharper image compared to LED. It allows for quick and accurate measurements of patients with cataracts, corneal opacities, IOL’s, and post LASIK.
Glare Testing
Visual acuity measurement with glare testing takes questionable accuracy out of the equation and allows is less cumbersome for the patient. It simulates real life glare situations to evaluate your patients’ media opacities including cataracts.
Confidence Index Indicator
The confidence index indicator helps to clarify the reliability of the data obtained by the ARK-1s. The confidence index number can range from 3 to 9 and gives the operator an indication of the clarity and quality of the ocular media. A value near 9 means the data is very repeatable and consistent. Values of 6 or below indicate media opacity or highly irregular optics.
The Eye Tracking System
The Eye Tracking System provides X, Y, Z axes tracking for superior alignment and focusing. The ARK-1s automatically initiates measurement at the optimal alignment
Accomodation
Accommodation testing helps to detect early presbyopia, latent hyperopia, and children with reading difficulty.
Dual Zone Measurement
Exclusive dual zone refractive measurement utilizing double-ring technology to measure two pupil zones supplies information based on pupil size and provides more robust objective data as a starting point for subjective refractions.
Retro Illumination
The ARK-1a Autrefractor & Keratometer features retro illumination which illustrates media opacity in both the cornea and lens.
