ARK-1s Autorefractor & Keratometer
The ARK-1s is a multimodality device that includes autorefraction/keratometry/glare testing combinations. This automated instrument measures with objective accuracy and features accommodation testing and retro-illumination. The accommodation helps to detect early presbyopia, latent hyperopia and children with reading difficulty. The retro-illumination benefits patients in viewing and understanding their cataracts. Super Luminescent Diode (SLD) makes it possible to accurately measure patients with cataracts, corneal opacities, IOLs, and post LASIK procedures. It also utilizes a multiple pupil zone imaging method combined with rotary prism technology, and auto alignment Eye Tracking System on the X-Y-Z axes ensuring consistent, accurate, reliable and repeatable data.

Glare Testing
Simulates real life glare situations to evaluate your patients media opacities including cataracts.
Super Luminescent Diode
It uses the high power and brightness of laser diodes providing a sharper image compared to LED. This measures patients, quickly and accurately, with cataracts, corneal opacities, IOL’s, and post LASIK
High Speed Printer
Measurement values are printed out using a high-speed printer. Contact lens data can be included, as can eyeprint illustrations to aid in explaining myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism to the patient.
The ARK-1s delivers the best combination of automated technology today for rapid testing, controlled for accommodation and a precise way to measure small and large pupils especially on eyes with media opacities
Super Luminescent Diode (SLD)
Super Luminescent Diode is an edge-emitting semiconductor light source based on super luminescence. It uses the high power and brightness of laser diodes providing a sharper image compared to LED. This measures patients, quickly and accurately, with cataracts, corneal opacities, IOL’s, and post LASIK.

Glare Testing
The ARK-Series offers a suite of testing chat allows you to drive higher levels of accuracy, efficiency, and enhanced patient flow. The glare testing capability takes questionable accuracy out of the equation and is less cumbersome for the patient. Simulates real life glare situations to evaluate your patients media opacities including cataracts.
The EyeTracking System
The EyeTracking System provides X, Y, Z axes tracking for superior alignment and focusing. The ARK-1s automatically initiates measurement at the optimal alignment.

Acuity Testing
A visual accuity chart give the Practitioner the ability to subjectively refine sphere, compare LM and AR results. It also allows for the measurement of uncorrected vision distance, uncorrected near vision, distance vision corrected with AR, and near vision corrected with AR.
Dual Zone
Exclusive dual zone refractive measurement utilizing double-ring technology to measure two pupil zones supplies information based on pupil size and provides more robust objective data as a starting point for subjective refractions.

Confidence Index Indicator
The confidence index indicator for each measurement helps to further clarify the reliability of the data obtained and automatic pupil and cornea size is measured. The confidence index number can range from 3 to 9. This gives the operator an indication of the clarity and quality of the ocular media. A value near 9 means the data is very repeatable and consistent. Values of 6 or below indicate media opacity or highly irregular optics.
Accomodation
Accomodation testing graphs the accommodation on patients especially with pre-presbyopia symptoms, latent hyperopia and children that have near focusing difficulties.

Retro Illumination
The ARK-1S Autrefractor/Keratometer features retro-illumination which illustrates media opacity in both the cornea and lens.
