Our practice’s favorite refractor is the Marco TRS. Not only is it quiet, fast, efficient and comfortable, but it also has the “cool” factor. It allows us to evaluate, document and auto-populate (using our Exam Writer software) each patient’s unaided visual acuity, lensometer reading, acuities with eyeglasses, auto-refraction, subjective refraction values, associated acuities, phorias and even the keratometer readings (if your ARK or OPD is synched up). You can even check and document phorias, vergences, fusion status, stereopsis, near acuities, NPA, NPC, NRA and PRA. If the TRS could read and fit soft contact lenses, it might be able to examine patients without me!
